According to statistics from the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) of the Ministry of Public Security, from 7:30 am on July 11 to 7:30 am on July 12, the AI camera system managed by the unit continued to be effective in detecting, recording and supporting the handling of violations.
On the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway, at Km20, during the above time, the system recorded 10,936 vehicle trips.
Through artificial intelligence (AI) analysis, the system issued warnings in 25 cases. After the censorship process, functional forces determined that there were 4 cases of speeding violations. The main violating vehicles were private cars.
Meanwhile, at the Pham Van Bach - Hoang Quan Chi intersection (Hanoi), the AI camera system continues to record many violations that pose a high risk of causing traffic accidents.
Accordingly, AI cameras detected 42 cases of motorcyclists not wearing helmets and 44 cases of running red lights, including 43 motorbikes and 1 car.
According to the Traffic Police Department, these are all acts that directly pose a risk of serious traffic accidents, affecting the safety of the violators themselves as well as other traffic participants.
In addition to monitoring with AI camera systems, the Traffic Police Department continues to receive many feedbacks from people about the traffic order and safety situation.
In the past 24 hours, the unit received 14 news reflections via Facebook, 21 news via Zalo (including 17 news with sufficient grounds for verification transfer) and 26 news via the VNeTraffic application.
The main reflections relate to acts of driving in the wrong lane, changing lanes without signaling, overtaking in violation of regulations, running red lights, going against traffic, not wearing helmets, motorbikes entering highways, parking in violation of regulations and using phones when driving vehicles.
According to the Traffic Police Department, the information provided by people is an important data source, helping functional forces promptly verify and strictly handle violations, contributing to ensuring traffic order and safety.
The Traffic Police Department recommends that traffic participants strictly comply with the road traffic sign system, drive in the correct lane and lane, change lanes in accordance with regulations and have warning signals; wear standard helmets when riding motorbikes; do not use phones when driving vehicles; comply with speed, maintain a safe distance and absolutely do not go against traffic or drive vehicles into the expressway illegally.
When people detect violations of traffic order and safety, they can send feedback through the VNeTraffic application or Facebook, Zalo channels of the Traffic Police Department for functional forces to promptly verify and handle according to regulations.
