From experimentation to enjoyment of pure electric public transport

Although new to appear in Hanoi, pure electric public transport such as electric buses and metro have been attracting a lot of attention from the people of the capital.

People enjoy using pure electric public transport

Many people in Hanoi said that they initially approached pure electric public transport with a experimental mindset. However, after a period of use, the convenience, cleanliness and economy of pure electric public transport have conquered many people.

Mr. Trinh Van Tam - an office worker living in Cau Giay District - shared: "At first, I only tried Vin bus to see how the experience was. But after a few uses, I found this a very good choice: The vehicle runs smoothly, has no smell of gasoline and the price is also reasonable. Now, I choose Vin bus as my daily work vehicle.

Similarly, Ms. Mai Thu Hoang - a primary school teacher in Hai Ba Trung district - said: "Previously, I mainly traveled by motorbike, but since I learned about the connection between Hanoi Metro and other electric vehicles such as SM Green taxi or electric motorbike, I have found traveling much easier. In particular, I feel secure because electric vehicles help protect the general environment.

Not only those working, but even young people are excited about the new public transport system. Tran Quang Minh - a student at Hanoi University of Science and Technology - commented: "I often use Metro and Vin bus to go to school. The integrated booking application helps me move seamlessly without taking too much time. Having more incentives when using these vehicles is also a big plus.

Promoting the use of pure electric public transport

In order to meet the needs of the people, in recent times, functional units have actively promoted the development of pure electric public transport.

Recently, on February 19, Metro Hanoi signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation with companies in the green transportation ecosystem including Xanh SM, Vin bus, FGF and V-Green to jointly develop the pure electric public transport model.

This is an important step forward in the strategy of reducing emissions, improving air quality and promoting sustainable mobility in the community.

According to the cooperation, a green transportation network is built to connect vehicles such as Hanoi Metro, electric taxis, electric motorbikes and Vin buses.
Passengers can book tickets and plan their travel on a single application, helping to optimize time and enhance the experience.

Not only that, the relevant parties are also committed to implementing an interconnected incentive program, helping Metro Hanoi passengers enjoy many benefits when using electric taxi services, SM Green electric motorbikes or Vin buses. This system not only helps people save costs but also contributes to reducing traffic congestion and environmental pollution.

Hanoi Metro also cooperates with FGF to deploy flexible electric vehicle rental services, helping people have more options for travel. V-Green will develop a charging station system at Metro stations, creating favorable conditions for the expansion of electric vehicles in the future.

Mr. Khuat Viet Hung - Chairman of Hanoi Railway Company Limited - emphasized: "We wish to develop a green mobility ecosystem, aiming to provide sustainable, energy-saving and environmentally friendly transportation services".

With continuous efforts, the pure electric public transport system in Hanoi is gradually changing people's travel habits, towards a smart and sustainable city. This is not only an inevitable trend but also a practical solution to protect the environment and improve the quality of life of the people of the capital.
