On July 12, a representative of Road Traffic Police Team No. 6 (Traffic Police Department - Hanoi City Police) said that the unit had just invited a truck driver to climb through the median strip on Le Duc Tho Street (Hanoi) to work.
According to social media reports, at around 4:50 p.m. on July 9, in the area opposite Le Duc Tho Street No. 2 (Nam Tu Liem District), a truck with license plate 19H-081.XX suddenly changed direction, climbing through the median strip, endangering vehicles in circulation.
Immediately after receiving the information, Road Traffic Police Team No. 6 conducted verification and identified the driver as Mr. P.V.S. (born in 1977, residing in Hanoi).
At the police station, Mr. S. admitted all the violations and said that the reason for climbing the median strip was to turn the car around quickly.
Based on the provisions of Decree 168/2024/ND-CP, Road Traffic Police Team No. 6 issued a fine for Mr. S. for the crime of "Driving a vehicle through a fixed median strip between two parts of the road", the fine was from 4 - 6 million VND and 2 points were deducted from the driver's license.
The Traffic Police Department - Hanoi City Police recommends that traffic participants strictly comply with the provisions of the Road Traffic Law. The act of turning around in the wrong place poses a serious risk of accidents and will be strictly handled according to the law.
