On May 16, Lao Dong Newspaper published an article "Garrbage spilled onto the road at the transit point in Nam Dinh City". The article reflects on the situation of garbage at the transit point on Nguyen The Luc Street (old Loc An Commune, now Truong Thi Ward, Nam Dinh City) overflowing onto the road, causing traffic insecurity and environmental pollution.
Many days in May, Lao Dong Newspaper reporters recorded that at the beginning of Nguyen The Luc intersection with Van Cao Street, garbage was dumped all over the roadside right under the road. Old garbage and new garbage piled up, giving off a foul smell. Many locations of garbage were burned. In addition to household waste, there is also construction waste, broken bricks, clothes...

After Lao Dong Newspaper reported, on June 2, the reporter noted that the above garbage transit area had been treated and cleaned up.
Mr. Nguyen Quang Thang - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Truong Thi Ward (Nam Dinh City) said: "Currently, the garbage transfer point on Nguyen The Duc Street has been handled, no longer littered with garbage as before. In addition, to avoid repeating the situation of people struggling with garbage here, the local government has established regular work groups to check in, divided into 4 time frames per day and turned on speakers to propagate right at the transfer point.
Accordingly, 1 shift will have 2 security forces, urban officers of the ward and organizations (at peak hours, there will be 2 organizations participating). The ward has maintained the checkpoints for many days now to directly remind them, if there are cases of intentional violations, they will be strictly handled".

Earlier, after receiving feedback from the Lao Dong newspaper, the Chairman of Nam Dinh Provincial People's Committee also issued a written direction and assigned the City People's Committee to coordinate with the relevant agencies to inspect, consider and handle environmental pollution on the waste area on Nguyen The Ruc Street. At the same time, it is required to notify the results of handling and report to the provincial People's Committee before June 15.
