Sending a question to the Ministry of Health, reader P.B.D said: "I had a work accident, lost 4 fingers of my right hand, only my thumb remained.
Please ask, according to Circular No. 36/2024/TT-BYT on health standards, am I eligible to take the A1 driving license exam?".
Regarding this issue, the Ministry of Health answers as follows:
Clause 4, Article 2 of Circular No. 36/2024/TT-BYT dated November 26, 2024 of the Minister of Health stipulates health standards, health check-ups for drivers and specialized motorbike drivers; periodic health check-ups for car drivers; the health database of drivers and specialized motorbike drivers stipulates:
Health check-ups for people with disabilities requesting a driver's license of class A1 or a driver's license of class B are specified in Clause 2, Article 57 of the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety: Applying health standards specified in Appendix I issued with this Circular for health check-ups but not requiring musculoskeletal specialist examination".
In case you are a disabled person, apply according to Clause 4, Article 2 of Circular No. 36/2024/TT-BYT mentioned above.
