On February 23, Hospital 199 of the Ministry of Public Security (Da Nang City) held a conference on rehabilitation with the theme "Comprehensive rehabilitation: From knowledge to practice". The conference was attended by delegates and leading domestic and international experts in the field of rehabilitation.
The conference is a forum for knowledge exchange, connecting science with medical practice. The scientific studies and reports presented at the conference will create opportunities for experts, doctors, and researchers to share and discuss, thereby proposing new solutions in the field of rehabilitation.
In addition, the conference also opened up opportunities for international cooperation when experts from many countries shared the latest achievements in rehabilitation medicine. The combination of new methods and technologies with the experience of domestic and foreign experts will be the driving force for the strong development of the rehabilitation sector in Vietnam.
Discussing at the workshop, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Trong Hai - Chairman of the Vietnam Rehabilitation Association said that rehabilitation is the use of medical and sociological measures... to reduce the impact of reduced abilities and disabilities, creating opportunities for people with disabilities to integrate, reintegrate into society, have equal opportunities to participate in family and social activities, and have a normal life as much as possible compared to their circumstances.
For health insurance policies, Vietnam has expanded the scope of health insurance and social insurance, helping people access rehabilitation services more easily, said Mr. Hai.
Currently, people and the health sector in Vietnam have raised awareness of the importance of rehabilitation in restoring the health and quality of life of patients and injured people.
