On the morning of March 15, many patients and their families were granted citizenship - voting right at the hospital.

Today (March 15), nearly 79 million voters nationwide participated in the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.

At Viet Duc Friendship Hospital (Hoan Kiem ward - Hanoi), many patients and their families were able to vote right at the hospital bed. For them, the feeling was very different. For many people, this was the first time they held a ballot at the hospital. Many patients also overcame the pain of being treated, to be able to exercise their citizenship rights.

Patient Tran Van Sau (born 1984 - Thanh Hoa) has just undergone surgery after a traffic accident for about half a month now, his leg is still nailed, Mr. Sau is extremely painful. But when the election delegation arrived, Mr. Sau suppressed his pain, happily received voter cards, received ballots and calmly read the information about the candidates for the People's Council of Hanoi City XVII, term 2026 - 2031.

Actually, my leg is also very painful, I have to lie motionless, I can only move on one side of my body. But no matter how painful it is, I still have to exercise my citizenship. Voting in elections is once every 5 years, so I have to try to do it correctly, choose correctly. The election team officials brought the ballot to my hands, brought the ballot box to my bed for me to vote" - Mr. Sau shared.

Mr. Bui Trong Vinh (born 1958, in Ha Tinh) is also one of the special voters in this election vote.

Mr. Vinh had a workplace accident and has been in emergency and treated at Viet Duc Friendship Hospital for more than a week. While he and his relatives were worried about how to vote, he was informed that he could vote in the election right at the hospital.

This is the first time I have voted away from home, and also the first time I have exercised my citizenship in Hanoi Capital. This time is special, because I was able to vote right on my sickbed. I was injured in my leg, unable to move, unexpectedly I could still vote in the election" - Mr. Vinh shared.

I had a traffic accident, have been hospitalized for more than a week. I am very emotional and full of emotions. This is the first time I have voted in the election right in Hoan Kiem ward, the center of Hanoi Capital. This is a particularly important event for the country, I really hope my country will develop and go further" - the patient shared with Lao Dong reporters.

Sharing the same feeling of emotion when exercising citizen rights right at the hospital, Ms. Ngo Thi Lan (born in 1987) in Thai Nguyen said: "I brought my family member to the hospital from the 4th day of Tet. When relatives in my hometown called to talk about the election, my family and I were worried about how we would vote this year. But unexpectedly, my family and I could vote in the election right at the hospital like this. It's really too touching. I sincerely thank the authorities at all levels, Viet Duc hospital for creating conditions for us to exercise our citizen rights.
