The pain of tearing his heart
At Mai Huong Day Mental Hospital (Hanoi), Mr. Toan (30 years old - character name has been changed) was forced to be admitted to the hospital by his family and authorities in a state of agitation and severe panic.
According to tearful sharing of his family, Toan has used marijuana for more than 10 years. At first, it was just for fun, but the addictive substance quickly dragged him deep into the mud. Recently, Mr. Toan's condition has become increasingly serious, with constant insomnia, physical weakness and a complete change in personality. He kept screaming, smashing his belongings and always lived in fear, thinking that someone was watching, lurking, and plotting to harm him.
At the peak, in early July, in an uncontrollable panic, Toan plunged into attacking his biological mother. "My son has been using marijuana for a long time. At home, I was very angry, unable to sleep, and then started to beat him. When I first entered the hospital, he was very aggressive, but after the doctor gave me medicine, I calmed down and no longer bribed," a relative of Toan said bitterly.
For a mother, the physical pain from 26 stitches cannot be compared to a heart wound. That is the pain of having to witness my child become a stranger, addicted to marijuana - a controlled addictive substance.
When marijuana destroys the brain and destroys family love
Receiving patient Toan in critical condition, doctors at Mai Huong Mental Hospital quickly gave a diagnosis and a treatment plan for him.

MSc. Dr. Nguyen Khac Dung, Deputy Head of the Clinical Department, informed that the male patient was diagnosed with mental and behavioral disorders due to the use of stimulants.
Dr. Dung emphasized: "The patient has been exposed to and used many types of stimulants since he was abroad. When he returned to Vietnam, Toan mainly used marijuana, but sometimes still used stronger substances such as ecstasy and crystal meth. Before being admitted to the hospital, the patient had a fierce debate with his family, then could not control his behavior, attacked his biological mother in a state of complete discovering what he was doing."
According to experts, marijuana and synthetic drugs have a direct impact on the central nervous system, causing serious and difficult damage to recover. They change the structure of the brain, leading to hoangage, hallucinations, emotional disorders and behaviors. The most common and dangerous symptom is victim panic, causing patients to always suspect, hate, consider even their most beloved as their enemy and be ready to attack to defend themselves.
