This is a program of special significance in implementing Resolution No. 72-NQ/TW of the Politburo on a number of breakthrough solutions to strengthen the protection, care and improvement of people's health, along with Resolution No. 14/2026/NQ-HĐND of the Hanoi City People's Council stipulating social security support policies for people in the Capital.

In which, from today (July 1), priority is given to pre-examination for group 1 (parents, disabled people, poor households, near-poor households, people with meritorious services, chronic diseases, difficult areas) with about nearly 1.7 million people; group 5 (free laborers, traders...) and children under 6 years old with about more than 2 million people.
In particular, focus on prioritizing health check-ups for people in 16 wards and communes along the Red River including: Hong Ha, O Dien, Thuong Cat, Dong Ngac, Phu Thuong, Linh Nam, Thanh Tri, Nam Phu, Hong Van, Me Linh, Thien Loc, Vinh Thanh, Dong Anh, Bo De, Long Bien, Bat Trang.
The Department of Health assigns hospitals and general clinics to directly send doctors to examine and support equipment for health stations such as Thanh Nhan Hospital, Duc Giang, Xanh Pon, Hoe Nhai, Hanoi Geriatrics, Dong Anh General Hospital, Gia Lam, Thuong Tin, Me Linh... to ensure the most effective examination work.

The Department of Health also guides communes and wards to review and compile examination lists to serve as a basis for organizing examinations and inviting subjects to participate in examinations, avoiding omission of policy beneficiaries as well as avoiding duplication of subjects.

Ms. Ha Thi Huong, Deputy Director of Me Linh Commune Health Station, said that the organization of health check-ups starts from 7 am on July 1. All invitation letters are sent to people, the examination content is clearly stated in the invitation letters, not only stopping at the general examination as usual, but people will also have tests and X-rays supported by Me Linh General Hospital, ensuring to meet the average examination for 400 people/day.
According to Director of Hanoi Department of Health Nguyen Trong Dien, the free periodic health check-up program is officially being implemented simultaneously throughout the city, marking the beginning of a nationwide health care policy of the largest scale ever in Hanoi. With the synchronous preparation of the health sector and local authorities, and the determination to bring health services closer to the people, the program not only contributes to early detection of diseases but also realizes the goal of making every citizen of the Capital have proactive, comprehensive and continuous health management according to the life cycle, improving quality of life, and ensuring sustainable social security.
