According to information, the investor and the Joint Venture of contractors have basically finalized contract appendix No. 9, from March 5 to deploy construction at the construction site, install scaffolding to paint the exterior of the building. Every day, there are over 50 workers coming to work at the construction site.
Previously, the contractor also started construction of fences.

However, the current difficulty is that the parties are still in the process of implementing the next contract appendix to resolve domestic materials.
After listening to the report, the Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee emphasized that the investment project to build Can Tho City Oncology Hospital (scale of 500 beds) is very important for the task of health care for people in the city and the Mekong Delta region.
Mr. Tuyen personally expressed that he is very "impatient, losing sleep and appetite" and millions of people in the Mekong Delta are also looking forward to the date the Project will be completed.

The Chairman of Can Tho City requested the investor (Department of Health) to have solutions, be resolute and soon complete the appendices, and at the same time, the contractor to speed up construction work.
According to the proposal of the Chairman of Can Tho, next week, the parties will continue to have a working session related to the Project. From this point on, the parties must have weekly reports with specific work progress.
The investment project to build Can Tho City Oncology Hospital (scale of 500 beds) started in 2017, with an investment capital of more than 1,700 billion VND at that time, invested by the Can Tho Department of Health. However, by 2022, the project had temporarily stopped construction due to many problems.
To restart, Can Tho has adjusted the project, raising the total investment to more than 2,000 billion VND.

Previously, Can Tho City People's Committee also assigned the Department of Health to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Finance and related units to review and advise on consolidating the Working Group to support procedures for the project.
The investment project to build Can Tho City Oncology Hospital (scale of 500 beds) is a project directed by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to be completed entirely by November 30, 2026 at the latest, and officially put into operation from January 1, 2027, serving the people. The Prime Minister emphasized absolutely not to let negativity, corruption, and waste occur during the implementation process.
