On November 9, Can Tho Central General Hospital (CGH) organized the 2024 Annual Hospital Science and Technology Conference and the 3rd International Spine Conference of the Center for Orthopedics and Trauma combined with the 28th Ho Chi Minh City Spine Association Conference.
The conference was attended by 21 leading medical experts from Korea, Japan, the US, Nepal, Taiwan, Australia and Vietnamese spinal specialists, attracting nearly 1,000 invited delegates from medical units in the Mekong Delta region.
Accordingly, the 2024 Annual Hospital Science and Technology Conference with 52 reports in the following specialties: Resuscitation, Cardiology, Endocrinology, Respiratory, Microbiology, Neurology, Urology, Cardiac Surgery, Thoracic and Vascular Surgery, General Surgery, Obstetrics - Gynecology, Burns - Cosmetic Surgery, Neurosurgery and Nursing.
International Spine Conference with 37 reports, including 28 reports on spine (20 lectures from international experts, 8 scientific research papers), 9 reports on orthopedic oncology.
In the third series of technical transfer programs between the Orthopedic Trauma Center of Can Tho Central General Hospital and the Ho Chi Minh City Spine Association Conference taking place from November 7-11. Experts examined and performed 3 spinal cases including: posterior decompression surgery using the Shiraishi method for cervical myelopathy causing partial paralysis of the limbs due to disc herniation and cervical spondylosis; foraminal release for cervical radiculopathy compressing the C8 root due to disc herniation C6C7; endoscopic laminectomy for cervical myelopathy caused by disc herniation C6C7 and cervical spondylosis.
