On July 13, information from the Department of Health of Dien Bien province, recently the unit organized a conference to deploy health work after completing the handover of health stations to the People's Committees of communes and wards for management.
The conference aims to thoroughly grasp the guiding documents of the Provincial People's Committee, the Ministry of Health and the Department of Home Affairs, and at the same time agree on solutions to ensure professional activities at the grassroots health level.
According to the Department of Health, the transfer of the management model does not disrupt the activities of medical examination and treatment and primary health care for people.
To ensure that health stations maintain stable operations, the Department of Health assigns Health Centers to continue to coordinate with the People's Committees of communes and wards to advise on removing arising difficulties and obstacles, and at the same time provide professional support for units to perform their tasks well.

At the conference, the Department of Health also informed about the results of the implementation of free health check-ups for people from April 25 to July 5, 2026.
Accordingly, the whole province has health check-ups for 92,131/678,109 people, reaching 13.59% of the plan.
To accelerate the progress of implementing the goal of periodic health check-ups for people, the Department of Health proposes that the People's Committees of communes and wards direct health stations to study and implement mobile health check-up models.
At the same time, continue to mobilize the participation of departments, agencies, unions, village heads, and residential group leaders in reviewing and compiling people's lists.
This is considered a solution to facilitate the management, monitoring and organization of free periodic health check-ups, ensuring quality and efficiency.
In the discussion, delegates from localities focused on reflecting the difficulties after the health stations were handed over to the commune-level People's Committee for management, especially the consolidation of the organizational structure and the implementation of free periodic health check-ups.
Representatives of the People's Committees of communes and wards proposed that the Department of Health continue to pay attention to professional support and direct affiliated units to strengthen coordination.
Professional forces also guide health stations in organizing health check-ups for people, contributing to the goal of 100% of people having periodic health check-ups at least once a year.
