On March 6, information from Hau Loc General Hospital (Thanh Hoa province) said that the hospital had just successfully resuscitated a patient with CO (carbon monoxide) poisoning due to burning charcoal in a closed room.

Previously, the Emergency - Intensive Care and Poison Control Department of Hau Loc General Hospital received a female patient (49 years old, residing in Hau Loc commune) admitted to the hospital in a coma, unresponsive to calls, cyanosis all over the body, vomiting a lot, showing signs of respiratory failure, reduced SpO2 and reduced consciousness.
Through examination, doctors determined that the patient had CO poisoning accompanied by hydro-electrolymic metabolic disorders. The patient was given emergency treatment and actively treated according to the protocol, and his health has now stabilized.
According to the family, before that, the patient had a cold and burned charcoal to fumigate with leaves in a closed room. A moment later, relatives discovered that the patient had abnormal signs and quickly took him to the emergency room.
