On May 9, information from Brigade 169 said that officers and soldiers of ship 636, Flotilla 137 had just supported a Nghe An fishing boat with a fisherman in distress while operating in the Con Co Special Zone sea area.
Previously, fishing vessel NA-95311-TS captained by Mr. Nguyen Quoc Vuong (born 1988, from Quynh Mai commune, Nghe An province) sent a signal requesting urgent support because a crew member had a labor accident, leading to shoulder blade dislocation.
Immediately after receiving the information, ship 636 reported to the Command of Naval Region 1 and Brigade 169 to maneuver to approach the fishing boat.
After approaching the scene, the military doctor of ship 636 went to the fishing boat to examine, give first aid and support treatment for the fishermen in distress.
In addition to medical support, officers and soldiers of ship 636 also provided 1,500 liters of fresh water, and presented national flags, life jackets and some necessities to fishermen.
According to initial information, fishing vessel NA-95311-TS has 7 crew members, engaged in squid fishing and departed from the port on May 5.
