On September 20, Thai Binh Mental Health Hospital coordinated with Luong Bang Commune Health Station and local authorities to organize periodic health check-ups for nearly 1,500 students of Kim Dong High School (Luong Bang commune, Hung Yen province).
The activity is part of the universal periodic health check-up program organized by Luong Bang Commune People's Committee, implementing Plan No. 204/KH-UBND dated June 1, 2026 of Hung Yen Provincial People's Committee on deploying the periodic health check-up program for people in the period 2026-2030, aiming for the goal of 100% of people having periodic health check-ups right at the grassroots level.
According to the plan, health check-ups are implemented according to each target group, prioritizing students, people with meritorious services to the revolution, the elderly, people with disabilities, poor households and near-poor households.
At Kim Dong High School, doctors from Thai Binh Mental Health Hospital coordinated to conduct general internal medicine examinations for students. The content included measuring blood pressure, cardiovascular and respiratory examinations, counseling on common diseases and initial health care guidance.
On the first day of implementation, nearly 1,500 students were examined. In the following days, the working group will continue to coordinate health check-ups for priority groups in the commune.
Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung - Deputy Director of Hung Yen Department of Health said that the universal periodic health check-up program is being implemented by the health sector in close compliance with resolutions and guidelines of the Central Government and the Ministry of Health.
According to Mr. Hung, to ensure that the program is implemented synchronously, the health sector has developed a plan, organized training and completed guiding documents for implementation.
Contents related to examination subjects, organization locations and examination lists are also built and completed for practical implementation. This work will be completed after June 2026, as a basis for localities to organize health check-ups for people.
The mobilization of human resources from hospitals aims to contribute to ensuring that health check-up activities are carried out in accordance with professional requirements, and at the same time support commune health stations in the early stages of program implementation.
