Reporting at the conference on implementing health work in 2025 on the morning of December 24, the leaders of the Ministry of Health emphasized the issue of administrative reform, inspection, examination, supervision, and prevention of corruption, negativity, and waste. Completing the project of the second facility of Bach Mai Hospital and Viet Duc Hospital in Ha Nam was put forward as an anti-waste goal.
Deputy Minister of Health Do Xuan Tuyen said: In recent times, the Department of Infrastructure and Medical Equipment has implemented many activities with positive results. The progress of key projects, especially the second facility of Bach Mai Hospital and Viet Duc Hospital, has achieved positive results.
The Deputy Minister requested the Department of Infrastructure and Medical Equipment to promote key projects, continue to monitor and urge key projects, especially the second facility of Bach Mai Hospital and Viet Duc Hospital, to ensure completion on schedule by the end of 2025.
Previously, in the latest update on the progress of the two projects at a press conference, Deputy Minister of Health Le Duc Luan said that Bach Mai Hospital 2 is now more than 90% complete, while Viet Duc Friendship Hospital 2 is only more than 60% complete.
Up to now, after more than 1 month, the construction progress has been accelerated. Specifically, the Bach Mai 2 Hospital project has completed 97% of construction, while the Viet Duc 2 Friendship Hospital has completed 85%.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Duc Luan affirmed that the 6-month deadline to complete this second facility is not difficult.
Regarding medical equipment of the two projects approved from 2014-2015. The leaders of the Ministry of Health said that they will review to compare with current practice, each project will spend 1,000 billion VND to purchase equipment.
"Our goal is that if the competent authorities accept a special mechanism to resolve the difficulties, we will complete the construction in 2025," Mr. Luan emphasized.
