On the afternoon of July 20, H.N.M, a lucky survivor of the tourist boat capsize in Quang Ninh, was taken by relatives from a hospital in Quang Ninh to the National Children's Hospital for monitoring and examination.
Regarding the health status of patient H.N.M, Dr. Cao Viet Tung - Deputy Director of the National Children's Hospital - said that the patient was admitted to the hospital's Poison Control Emergency Department.
Through examination when receiving the patient, it initially showed that the child's health was basically stable, the child's condition was only scratched on the skin, and his spirit was basically stable.
"We continue to monitor the health and psychology of the panic patient for 24-48 hours. At the same time, we have requested relevant departments of the hospital to complete procedures to support the entire hospital fee for free, as well as monitor the psychology of the child in the future" - Dr. Cao Viet Tung informed.
Previously, cruise ship QN 7105 while carrying tourists on route 2 on Ha Long Bay suddenly overturned and sank in the area near Dau Go cave, Ha Long Bay, at around 1:45 p.m. on July 19.
Immediately after receiving the news, Quang Ninh province mobilized forces including hundreds of people and dozens of vehicles to search and rescue. After efforts to search and rescue in the waters of Ha Long Bay, the authorities have taken a 10-year-old boy out of the body of the QN-7105 tourist boat.
This baby boy was identified as H.N.M (born in 2015), residing in Hoang Mai ward, Hanoi. When found, the child was in a temporarily stable state of health but was in a state of panic.
It is known that M is the son of Mr. Th's family. The family of 4 including a couple and two young children traveled together on the fateful ship in Ha Long.
Unfortunately, up to this point, except for baby M who was lucky to be saved, Mr. Th's wife and her 3-year-old daughter's body have been confirmed and are hanging at the hospital's funeral home. As for Mr. Th - the father who used his last efforts to save his child - he is still missing.
As of noon on July 20, the forces have rescued 10 people, found 35 bodies, and 4 people are still missing.
Previously, in order to organize timely emergency care for the victims of the train capsize, the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management, Ministry of Health issued a document requesting the Department of Health of Quang Ninh province to continue directing medical examination and treatment facilities in the area to be ready to receive the victims and focus on maximum human resources and expertise, coordinating with hospitals and leading experts to consult and treat the victims of the accident in a timely manner.
