Information from the Intensive Care Unit - Hanoi Children's Hospital July 27, after more than a week of treatment, the health of the two pediatric patients in the accident - the girl (41 months old) and the boy (68 months old) - has made remarkable progress.

Female patient (41 months old): After 5 days of mechanical ventilation and resuscitation, the child was able to breathe on his own, his breathing and circulation were stable. Children are opened their eyes, react to pain sticks, and are being trained for rehabilitation. The post-operative wound was dry, without fluid, and no redness.

Male patient (68 months old): The child is completely alert, breathing and circulation are stable, and there are no signs of accommodation neurons. Scalp wounds are dry, not swollen, not inflamed.

Doctors at Hanoi Children's Hospital are continuing to closely monitor, coordinate with many specialties to comprehensively treat and restore the function of the two pediatric patients.

Previously, at around 20:21 on July 16, Hanoi Children's Hospital received two cases of siblings with many complicated injuries due to a series of traffic accidents that occurred on Nguyen Trac Street, Duong Noi Ward, Hanoi.

At that time, the child (41 months old) was admitted to the hospital in a state of severe multiple injuries, the patient was in a coma, had difficulty breathing, had a large bleeding scalp tear, and had many scratches and bruises all over the skin. The child was diagnosed with multiple injuries - traumatic brain injury, subarachnoid hemorrhage, wide cerebral edema, fracture of the right collarbone, collapsed lung.

The older child (68 months old) was admitted to the hospital in a state of panic agitation, bleeding wounds in the head, many scratches and bruises on the skin all over the body. The child was diagnosed with: Multiple trauma - traumatic brain injury, collapsed lung.

Previously, as Lao Dong reported, on the evening of July 16, driver L.M.G was driving a car with license plate 30K-730.xx on Nguyen Trac Street, in the direction of Do Nghia urban area.

When arriving at CT7K building - Duong Noi urban area, Duong Noi ward, due to falling asleep, the driver crashed into a motorbike going in the same direction ahead.

After the collision, in a state of panic, the driver accidentally pedal the accelerator, causing the car to accelerate, continue to push forward and collide with 4 motorbikes and 2 cars parked near the right side of the road in the direction of movement, until the car stopped completely.

The series of accidents caused 1 person to die on the spot, 3 people to be seriously injured, including the 2 children mentioned above.
