The Can Tho Department of Health has just sent a report to the Can City People's Committee on epidemic prevention and control, and people's health care in the area (serving regular press and radio conferences in the second quarter of 2026).
Accordingly, Dengue fever in the second quarter in Can Tho recorded 1,734 cases; accumulated from the beginning of the year to date 3,163 cases. The number of dengue fever cases tends to increase compared to the same period in 2025 and there are no deaths.

For hand, foot and mouth disease, in the second quarter, 1,908 cases were recorded; accumulated from the beginning of the year to date, 2,660 cases and recorded 01 death. The number of hand, foot and mouth disease cases tends to increase compared to the same period in 2025.
Regarding measles in the second quarter, the health sector detected 22 cases of suspected measles/rubella fever, of which 15 measles cases were sampled for testing (9 cases positive for measles virus, 1 case positive for rubella virus) and 7 clinical measles cases, no deaths recorded.

Regarding the pilot implementation of the free periodic health check-up model for people, the Department of Health has advised the City People's Committee to issue a Plan for periodic health check-ups for people in Can Tho City in 2026.
In Can Tho, there are 56 medical examination and treatment facilities under management that meet the conditions for health check-ups according to regulations. As of May 31, people undergoing health check-ups in Can Tho City reached 23.83% of the population.
