On February 14, information from Can Tho Central General Hospital said that with the professional support of the Department of Treatment of Cardiovascular Disorders (Ho Chi Minh City Market Hospital), the hospital's doctors successfully performed 6 cases of successful physiological electrocution.
At the same time, the Hospital announced the establishment of the Department of Treatment of Cardiovascular Disorders under the Cardiovascular Center.
A typical example is the case of female patient D.T.K.N. (born in 1977) has a history of occasional chest tightness, a very rapid heartbeat, sweating, and a heart rate of up to 160 cycles/minute. Recently, the above symptoms have become more frequent, the patient fainted twice and was transferred to Can Tho General Hospital.

The patient was diagnosed with atrial fibrillation - Wolff - Parkinson - White syndrome (DPW) with dynamic disorder, after electric shock, the patient's heart rate returned to 80 cycles/minute. The patient was ordered to examine and perform an electrocardiogram.
The results of the physiological electrocution and incineration have an auxiliary conduction line on the right. Carry out secondary incision burning, monitor for 30 minutes and test for drugs that do not record recurrence. The procedure was successful after 60 minutes, the heart rate returned to stability, and the patient was discharged from the hospital 2 days later.
MSc. Dr. Than Hoang Minh (in charge of the Department of Cardiovascular Disorder Treatment) said that WPW syndrome is related to the existence of an abnormal transmission line ( secondary transmission line). Clinical manifestations are rapid heart attacks with a frequency of 140 - 220 cycles/minute... WPW syndrome is especially dangerous in cases of secondary fibrillation (completely arrhythmia).

Currently, the Department of Cardiovascular Disorder Treatment of Can Tho Mekong Delta Hospital has 10 employees (5 doctors, including 4 postgraduate doctors; 5 nurses), planned to have 20 beds.
The Department of Treatment of arrhythmia is a department specializing in the treatment of arrhythmia. In addition to internal medicine examination and treatment, the Department also performs techniques such as: Physiological electrocardiogram and combustion, heart rate programming, side table analyst, satiety analyst, effort analyst, 24-hour heart rate monitoring, etc. In the future, the Department will continue to deploy other specialized techniques.
It is known that the Cardiovascular Center of Can Tho Mekong Delta Hospital has 4 affiliated departments including: Internal Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Heart Surgery and Treatment of arrhythmia.
This is a complete Cardiovascular Center, in which the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery is the only independent heart surgery unit in the Mekong Delta region.
