On October 30, according to information from the People's Committee of Lao Cai province, the Department of Health has just issued a decision to administratively sanction Gia Linh Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company (located in Trung Hoa ward, Hanoi) for selling drugs not within the licensed scope.
Previously, at 1:30 p.m. on August 29, the Inspection Team of Lao Cai Provincial Department of Health conducted an inspection at Yen Duyen Pharmacy ( Luc Yen Commune).
At the time of inspection, the drug counter stored and retail 11 boxes of Irbesartan STELLA 150mg supplied by Gia Linh Pharmaceutical Company according to the invoice dated May 8, 2025, the drug was not included in the scope of business as stated in the Certificate of eligibility for pharmaceutical business.
After being invited to work, on October 17, a representative of Gia Linh Pharmaceutical Company admitted that the drug sale was not within the business scope of the granted license.
The total value of the drugs in violation was more than 3 million VND, including 4 out of 6 items sold to Yen Duyen Pharmacy counter.
Pursuant to Point b, Clause 2, Article 58 of Decree 117/2020/ND-CP of the Government, the Department of Health of Lao Cai province has applied the form of a fine of 30 million VND to Gia Linh Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company.
Previously, on October 16, Da Phuc Pharmaceutical Company Limited was also fined 30 million VND by Lao Cai provincial authorities for selling drugs in the wrong business range.
