The Lao Cai Provincial Department of Health has just issued a decision to administratively fine Da Phuc Pharmaceutical Company Limited VND 30 million for selling drugs to a facility not within the licensed business scope.
According to Decision No. 1175, Da Phuc Pharmaceutical Company Limited (headquartered in O Cho Dua Ward, Hanoi) with Mr. Bui Manh Ha - General Director - as legal representative, sold drugs to Yen Duyen Pharmacy counter in violation of the business scope stated in the Certificate.
The violation was determined according to invoice No. 79391 dated May 29, 2025, related to three boxes of Xatral XL 10mg (Alfuzosin HCL 10mg) - a drug not included in the list of drugs allowed for sale of Yen Duyen Pharmacy.
Previously, at 1:30 p.m. on August 29, 2025, the Inspection Team of the Lao Cai Provincial Department of Health inspected Yen Duyen Pharmacy at 398 Nguyen Tat Thanh Street, Luc Yen Commune, Lao Cai Province.
At the time of inspection, this facility was storing and retailing drugs provided by Da Phuc Pharmaceutical Company Limited, not within the licensed scope.
After working with the Pharmaceutical Department - Lao Cai Department of Health on October 6, 2025, a representative of Da Phuc Pharmaceutical Company Limited admitted to the violation.
Pursuant to Point b, Clause 2, Article 58 of Decree 117/2020/ND-CP of the Government on administrative sanctions in the health sector, Lao Cai Department of Health decided to fine this enterprise 30 million VND.
Da Phuc Pharmaceutical Company Limited is responsible for strict compliance. In case the company fails to pay the fine within the prescribed time limit, the enterprise will be forced to pay and must pay an additional 0.05% of the daily late payment fee on the total unpaid fine.
