On the afternoon of March 4, the Ministry of Health held a conference to announce decisions on the organization and staffing work of the Ministry of Health. According to Decree No. 42/2025/ND-CP dated February 27, 2025, the Ministry of Health has 31 tasks and powers. Regarding the organizational structure, the Ministry of Health has 20 units.
At the same time, the Ministry of Health has also received units of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs with nearly 1,000 civil servants, public employees and workers.
The Ministry of Health has published information on the organizational structure and decided to appoint and receive officials.
The Department of Prevention was established on the basis of the Department of Preventive Medicine, the Department of HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control and the Department of Medical Environment Management. The Department of Disease Prevention has 1 Director and 7 Deputy Directors.
The Department of Social Protection was established on the basis of the Department of Social Protection and the Department of Social Disaster Prevention (both under the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs), the Ministry of Health received. The Department of Social Protection has 1 Director and 5 Deputy Directors.
The Department of Maternal and Child Health was established on the basis of merging the Department of Maternal and Child Health and the Department of Children (Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs). On March 4, the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management - Ministry of Health sent a document to the Departments of Health of provinces and centrally run cities to rectify advertising activities of medical examination and treatment facilities.
Some medical facilities, such as DNA International Hospital, have advertised on social media about "high-tech blood filtration techniques to remove fat to reduce the risk of stroke".
The Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management has requested the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health to check and review the advertising content, ensuring that the techniques are advertised in accordance with the list licensed by the Ministry of Health. See more

Hai Duong Department of Health receives more than 500 civil servants after merger
The Hai Duong Department of Health has received more staff from other units, perfecting the model of people's health care and social protection.
Starting from March 1, the Hai Duong Provincial Department of Health has 6 specialized departments. The affiliated units include 10 provincial hospitals: Provincial General Hospital, Lung, Pediatrics, Tropical Diseases, Mental Health, Phong, Obstetrics, Rehabilitation, Traditional Medicine, Eye and Dermatology.
The Department also manages 12 District, Town and City Health Centers; 6 Provincial Centers.Receive 502 civil servants, 12 public employees and 1 office worker from the old Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs; 23 officers from the Cadre Health Protection Board.

34-year-old man donates organs to save the lives of 5 patients
Gia Dinh People's Hospital said that it has just coordinated with hospitals across the country to receive organs from donors to save 5 other patients.
The organ donor patient, Mr. C.G.C (34 years old, living in Go Vap District) was hospitalized in a state of cardiac arrest, respiratory arrest, due to multiple injuries to the head, neck, and chest.

Immediately upon receiving the patient, the hospital activated the red alert procedure, mobilizing leading experts on duty for emergency care, diagnosis and intensive resuscitation. Despite being treated with intensive resuscitation measures, Mr. C.'s condition showed no signs of recovery. Doctors have predicted a poor prognosis and a high risk of death due to severe brain damage.
Mr. C.'s family decided to donate organs to save the lives of other patients. See more
Saving a pregnant woman with heart disease
Ms. L was admitted to Soc Trang Province Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital on February 24 with symptoms of difficulty breathing, chest and abdominal pain after 37 weeks and 4 days of pregnancy. Doctors diagnosed her with stage III erratic secondary blockage (slow heart rate disorder), a dangerous condition that can threaten the lives of both mother and baby.

Due to her complicated medical condition, Ms. L was transferred to Soc Trang Provincial General Hospital for intensive treatment. Immediately after receiving the treatment, doctors at Soc Trang General Hospital provided emergency care. See more
