On March 4, the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management - Ministry of Health sent a document to the Departments of Health of provinces and centrally run cities to rectify advertising activities of medical examination and treatment facilities.
The document stated that the Department had received feedback from agencies, units and the press about advertising in medical examination and treatment activities. Some medical facilities, such as DNA International Hospital, have advertised on social media about "high-tech blood filtration techniques to remove fat to reduce the risk of stroke". To clarify this reflection, the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management has requested the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health to check and review the advertising content, ensuring that the techniques advertised are consistent with the list licensed by the Ministry of Health.
The Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management emphasized that in case the Hospital advertises not in accordance with the approved technical list or the advertising content has been licensed, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health must strictly handle violations and send a report to the Department before March 11, 2025.
For the Department of Health of provinces and centrally run cities, the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management requires inspection and review of advertising content of medical examination and treatment facilities in the management area and strictly handle cases of service advertising that has not been licensed or is not in accordance with the content approved by competent authorities.
