On December 25, the Office of the Investigation Police Agency of Da Nang City Police issued a decision to prosecute 7 teenagers related to the case of causing chaos in traffic safety and order and fighting on the streets. Of these, 4 subjects were temporarily detained, 3 subjects were subject to the measure of being prohibited from leaving their place of residence. The defendants were prosecuted for the crimes of "Disturbing public order" and "Intentionally causing injury".
The four subjects who were temporarily detained include Nguyen Duc Dung, Le Tan Phuoc, Pham Minh Duc and Nguyen Quoc Trung, all aged from 16 to 19, residing in Son Tra ward. The three subjects banned from leaving their residence include Ho Dai Phi, Bui Duy Gia Huy, residing in An Hai ward, and Tran Viet Nhat Phong, residing in Son Tra ward.
Investigation results determined that due to a conflict with Nguyen Thanh Huy's group, Nguyen Duc Dung's group used a motorbike to chase each other on many routes. The subjects ran at high speed, weaving, swerving, obstructing traffic, and posing a potential risk of accidents. After that, two groups used weapons to fight in the area of Dang Nhu Lam Street, Son Tra Ward, causing disorder and insecurity, creating panic among the people.
During the chase and fight, the subjects also caused injuries to two other people. Based on the collected documents and evidence, the investigation agency prosecuted the accused and applied appropriate preventive measures for each subject. In particular, Le Vu Anh Tai is not old enough to bear criminal responsibility, so he should be considered and handled according to the law.
The case is currently being investigated and clarified for strict handling according to regulations.
