On February 26, the Internal Political Security Department of Quang Nam Provincial Police announced that it had administratively fined Mr. T.T.N (born in 1986, residing in Binh Dao Commune, Thang Binh District, Quang Nam) 7.5 million VND for the act of " Providing and sharing fabricated information, causing panic among the people".

Previously, T.T.N livestreamed ( streamed live) on his personal Facebook page, including the following content: "Mr. Tran Huu Binh, Mr. Nhat's brother-in-law (a recent boat racer who passed away in Binh Trieu commune, Thang Binh district) had an accident that was unlikely to survive when he brought his belongings to Mr. Nhat's grave, Mr. Binh's grandmother heard about the accident and then lost him".
This livestream video has a series of information and events about 3 consecutive deaths in the same family, causing a very painful "death anniversary".
This information immediately caused a stir in public opinion, attracting 332 thousand views and was cited, shared and widely spread by many social media accounts, causing complicated public opinion in the online community and the security and order situation in the locality.
After that, Mr. T.T.N continued to post information calling for charity on his personal Facebook account "T.N" and received many shares and responses.
Through verification, the police determined that the above information was fabricated, untrue, and that Mr. T.T.N was the one who spread this information.
At the police station, Mr. T.T.N admitted to being the first to livestream and disseminate the above fabricated information and voluntarily requested to immediately remove the content of the violating post; pledged not to repeat the offense and posted a correction to apologize to the social network community.
