Through review, the whole city has 466 projects and works that are backlogged, suspended, and behind schedule. Of which, 315 projects and works have been resolved or have handling plans; 151 projects and works are continuing to be resolved, including: 7 projects and works under the authority of the Prime Minister; 126 projects and works under the authority of the City People's Committee; 18 projects and works under the authority of the commune-level People's Committee.
After listening to reports and opinions from leaders of departments, branches, and localities, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Trung Kien requested units to seriously and drastically effectively implement Plan No. 51/KH-UBND dated February 13, 2026 of the City People's Committee on reviewing and handling backlog projects and works, stopping construction, and slow progress in the area.
The Department of Finance presides over projects related to public investment, reviews and summarizes difficulties and obstacles, and promptly reports to the City People's Committee. The Department of Construction guides localities and units to carry out finalization work. The Department of Agriculture and Environment guides site clearance work. The Office of the City People's Committee summarizes and statistics the list of projects, and reports to the City People's Committee to send to members of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee in charge of the area for monitoring and direction.
In addition, the Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee requested departments, branches, and localities to continue to promote the spirit of proactiveness and actively propose solutions to accelerate the progress of projects. For contents beyond authority, it is necessary to urgently review, clarify obstacles, propose handling plans, and report to the City People's Committee for consideration and timely direction.
