Vice Chairman of Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee Pham Van Thinh has just signed Decision No. 330/QD-UBND on disclosing information about 2 social housing construction investment projects in Bac Giang ward and Tan Dinh commune.
Accordingly, the social housing project in the new urban area of Dinh Tri - Tan Dinh is proposed to be implemented in Bac Giang ward and Tan Dinh commune, with an area of about 4.99ha. The project is expected to provide about 2,254 apartments, meeting accommodation for about 4,271 people.
The project is 20 floors above ground and 1 basement floor; total floor area of construction is about 241,300m2. Preliminary total investment is more than 3, 197 billion VND.
The second project is a social housing area in the Northeast urban area, Bac Giang ward, with an area of about 3.67ha.
The project is expected to build about 1,900 apartments, meeting accommodation for about 3,950 people. The project includes 20 above-ground floors and 1 basement floor; total floor area of construction is about 234,500m2. Preliminary total investment is more than 3,091 billion VND.
Bac Ninh is one of the leading localities in the country in terms of social housing development results. In 2025, the province completed nearly 20,000 social housing units, accounting for about 20% of the country's total supply.
In 2026, the province is assigned a target of 19,000 units, higher than Hanoi, but the province sets a target to continue to complete over 20,000 units.
Currently, the construction of social housing in Bac Ninh province continues to take place strongly and comprehensively across all subjects.
In particular, Bac Ninh province started construction of the first social housing building for the Police force and is expected to soon start the next project for the Army force.
Recently, the Chairman of Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee issued a document requesting the implementation of social housing development targets for 2026.
Accordingly, the Chairman of Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Construction to advise the Provincial People's Committee to consider allocating targets for the number of social housing apartments completed in 2026 for each project, ensuring compliance with actual implementation and targets assigned by the Government.
Along with that, monitor, guide, and urge investors to focus resources and remove difficulties and obstacles in the project implementation process.
