Commune officials directly issue red books to people, exempted from confirmation of uncontested land
Hanoi - Ngoc Hoi commune has just completed the procedures for granting red books to 7 citizens in the area.
As one of the 7 citizens granted red books, Mr. Nguyen Van Chu said: "This is the first time my family has been granted 30m2 of resettlement land, which is also the first time a certificate has been granted. The time is very fast. Since the new government apparatus, procedures have been compact and convenient, and people do not have to travel much. We are very excited and must thank this change".

Mr. La Van Huy (Ngoc Hoi commune) also did not expect all procedures to be quick and clear, completely different from previous concerns. "The first thing is not to travel hard, and to be close to home. The professional staff enthusiastically guided and created conditions for the issuance of books as soon as possible," said Mr. Huy.
Ms. Tran Vu Yen - Head of the Economic Department of Ngoc Hoi commune - said: "When directly handling 14 administrative procedures on land at the commune level, we noticed positive changes, bringing practical benefits to the people.
First, people do not have to go up the route, saving time and costs. Second, all procedures are carried out right near the house, with direct guidance from commune officials, improving the efficiency of handling work.
More importantly, it will gradually help eliminate the gap, making the government closer in the eyes of the people". See more...

Housing prices escalate, affecting the birth rate
In the latest news, the Vietnam Real Estate Brokers Association - said that along with the trend of late marriages and the popular "bride-and-season, lazy to give birth" mentality among young people, especially in large cities, Vietnam is entering a rapid aging population.

According to data from the General Statistics Office (now the Statistics Office), the average age of first marriage has increased from 24.1 years old (in 1999) to 27.2 years old (in 2024). Meanwhile, the birth rate in 2024 has fallen by half compared to 1989, to an all-time low of 1.91 children per woman and has tended to decline more rapidly in the past two years.
Notably, in major cities such as Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, the birth rate is moving towards the "seriously low birth" zone (under 1.3 children/woman) according to the United Nations' classification. And one of the reasons that must be mentioned, as the Vietnam Institute for Real Estate Market Research (VARS IRE) has informed, is due to the constant increase in living costs and especially housing prices, establishing a new price level far exceeding the average income of young people. The trend of "getting married and lazy to give birth" is not only a result of expensive living conditions, but in the long term will gradually become a reversal factor affecting the real estate market.
