On September 23, Di An Ward People's Committee held a meeting with people in the area to inform and publicize the decision on approving the project "Building new cultural parks in Di An Ward and investing in equipment for the headquarters of the Ward Cultural Center".
Accordingly, the Ward People's Committee has allocated 3,816 m2 of land in Binh Minh neighborhood to build a new Di An Ward Cultural Park. At the same time, renovate public land in Thong Nhat 1 neighborhood with an area of 1,091 m2 to make a park.
In addition, Di An Ward People's Committee also allocated capital to invest in equipment to serve the operation of the Ward Cultural Center, now the Public Service Supply Center of Di An Ward.
According to Di An Ward People's Committee, the total investment to build 2 parks and invest in equipment is nearly 24 billion VND. Of which, compensation costs are 6.22 billion VND, construction costs are 12.1 billion VND, equipment costs are 2 billion VND, investment consulting costs are 1.5 billion VND, contingency costs are 1.2 billion VND and other costs. Capital for the projects comes from targeted supplementary sources of the City budget, implemented in the period 2026-2028.
According to Di An Ward People's Committee, the project construction investment will create a community living space, entertainment and sports training for people. At the same time, forming a green park, improving the environment and urban landscape.
It is known that Di An ward was established on the basis of merging the entire area of Di An ward, An Binh ward and a part of Tan Dong Hiep ward (Di An city, former Binh Duong province).
The ward has an area of about 21.38 km2 and a population of 227,817 people. This is identified as the most populous ward in Ho Chi Minh City. The ward also attracts many workers and laborers to live and work. The demand for parks and public amenities of people in the area is very large.
