On November 20, 2024, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha signed a decision on the investment policy for the Project to invest in construction and business of infrastructure of Tran Yen Industrial Park, Phase 1, Yen Bai province.
Accordingly, the project is implemented on a 254.59 ha land area (in the administrative boundaries of Bao Hung and Minh Quan communes, Tran Yen district), with Viglacera Corporation - JSC as the investor, with a total capital of nearly 2,200 billion VND.
When it is started and put into operation, Tran Yen Industrial Park will be the second largest in Yen Bai province, after the Southern Industrial Park.
According to Lao Dong's report on November 25, currently the land area of the Tran Yen Industrial Park Infrastructure Investment and Construction Project Phase 1 is mostly hilly land, being used for agricultural cultivation by local people.
At the same time, the project is located in a prime location, convenient for traffic, about 2 km from IC12 Intersection of Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway (towards Au Co Street), about 6 km to Yen Bai City (towards Au Co Street, National Highway 32C, National Highway 37).
Mr. Nguyen Van Manh, 38 years old, in Minh Bao commune, Tran Yen district, hopes that the industrial park will attract large companies and a large workforce, thereby changing the local economy.
"This is also an opportunity to create jobs for local people, and at the same time bring people back to work near home after many years of living away from home," said Mr. Manh.
Talking to Lao Dong, Chairman of Bao Hung Commune People's Committee Pham Van Thinh said that people were very happy and agreed when hearing the news that the industrial park was about to be built on part of the commune.
Currently, people in Bao Hung commune mainly work in agriculture, the economy is not well off. After the industrial park is completed, it is expected to create many jobs for thousands of local workers.
According to the Chairwoman of the Industrial Zones Trade Union of Yen Bai Province, Dinh Thi Hong Lan, there are currently 3 industrial zones operating in the area with more than 5,000 workers. When Tran Yen Industrial Zone comes into operation, it is expected to create jobs for many local people.
“The Provincial Federation of Labor is organizing a program to support businesses in recruiting workers. At the same time, it recommends that businesses have policies to support workers such as centralized accommodation and transportation expenses so that workers working in distant provinces can return to their hometowns,” Ms. Dinh Thi Hong Lan shared.
Currently, Yen Bai province has 3 industrial parks that have been included in the national industrial park system, including: Southern Industrial Park with an area of 400 hectares; Minh Quan Industrial Park with an area of 112 hectares; Au Lau Industrial Park with an area of 120 hectares.
