The Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City has just signed a decision on the establishment of a Specific Land Price Appraisal Council in the city.
Accordingly, Mr. Tran Chi Hung - Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee - is Chairman of the Council; Vice Chairman of the Council is Mr. Duong Van Ngoanh - Acting Director of the Department of Finance. Council members include leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the Department of Construction, the Department of Justice, the City Tax Department, Chairmen of the People's Committees of communes and wards where land needs to be appraised, along with representatives of the consulting organization for determining land prices and experts on land prices.
The Council is responsible for organizing the appraisal of land price plans according to the provisions of the 2024 Land Law, Decree No. 71/2024/ND-CP dated June 27, 2024 of the Government and guiding documents for implementation. Periodic or ad hoc reports as requested by the People's Committee and Chairman of the City People's Committee.
The Department of Finance is the standing agency, responsible for presiding over and coordinating with Council members to develop operating regulations, assign tasks, establish and perfect the Working Group of Specialist Employees; at the same time, use the unit's civil servants to perform related tasks.
Council members work part-time and comply with operating regulations. The Chairman of the Council uses the seal of the City People's Committee, the Vice Chairman of the Council uses the seal of the Department of Finance when performing his duties.
After the merger, Can Tho City will temporarily apply the 3 old land price lists of Can Tho, Hau Giang and Soc Trang (old) until the end of 2025, while waiting for the construction of a new land price list to be applied uniformly throughout the city from 2026.
