Prevent and strictly handle acts of land speculation
On July 9, at the 3rd session of the Dong Nai City People's Council, term I, 2026-2031, Chairman of Dong Nai City People's Committee Nguyen Van Ut spoke to clarify some contents of concern to City People's Council delegates after the discussion and questioning session.
Accordingly, regarding the situation of transfer, speculation to grab land, and inflating prices, Chairman of Dong Nai City People's Committee Nguyen Van Ut said that with the drastic direction of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, this issue is being gradually rectified. From the perspective of state management, the City People's Committee is drastically reviewing projects and the situation of speculation to grab land.
For projects with planning and land recovery notices that are transferred not in accordance with regulations, the City People's Committee will direct communes and wards to rectify and review the recovery of all investment policies for projects that are not implemented and do not ensure procedures.
Also on the above content, Vice Chairman of Dong Nai City People's Committee Ho Van Ha said that detecting land speculation acts is the most specific task, identified in the People's Committees of communes and wards; at the same time, assigning the Department of Agriculture and Environment and the People's Committees of communes and wards to tighten the management of land, resources, and urban areas, strictly manage land use transfer, auctions, bidding, compensation for site clearance, especially in areas around airports, urban areas, industrial parks, riverside urban areas, strategic traffic routes, prevent and strictly handle land speculation acts.
The Department of Finance urgently reviews the list of investment projects, cuts ineffective projects, recovers slow-progress projects causing land waste, and rearranges small, fragmented projects to create new space, ensuring compliance with planning. Resolutely handle the situation of holding land, grabbing space, being approved for investment policy but slow to put land into use.
Dong Nai approves 45 important resolutions in various fields
The 3rd session of the Dong Nai City People's Council, term I, 2026 - 2031, passed 45 important resolutions in various fields.
Speaking at the closing of the session, Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of Dong Nai City People's Council Ton Ngoc Hanh emphasized: The highlight of the session is that the decisions all focus on major issues of the city, both solving immediate requirements and creating a foundation for long-term development in infrastructure, science, technology, innovation, digital transformation, social security and improving the quality of urban governance.
The Chairman of the City People's Council requested the City People's Committee, departments, agencies, branches and localities to focus on implementing 5 key tasks after the session. In which, urgently concretize the resolutions of the City People's Council, focus on managing the completion of socio-economic development goals in 2026; proactively remove difficulties for businesses; promote science, technology, innovation and digital transformation.
Along with that, accelerate the disbursement of public investment capital; remove obstacles in planning, land, compensation, site clearance; accelerate the progress of key projects and effectively exploit resources for development investment.
The implementation of resolutions of the City People's Council needs to be linked to the "500 days and nights" emulation movement, taking the results of implementation as criteria for evaluating agencies, units and heads.
