On July 8, Dong Nai City People's Committee submitted a proposal to the 3rd Session of the City People's Council, term I, term 2026 - 2031 to consider and approve the investment policy for the Chua Chan mountain road project.
The project implementation location is in Xuan Loc ward, Dong Nai city.
The road project around Chua Chan mountain with a total investment of about 4,037.5 billion VND, the road is about 16.2km long. The starting point is adjacent to National Highway 1, the ending point is adjacent to the road to Chua Chan mountain.
The road has a design speed of 80km/h, 45m wide, arranged with 6 lanes.
According to the City People's Committee, the construction of the road around Chua Chan mountain is to contribute to effective and sustainable implementation, creating conditions to connect neighboring regions for socio-economic development; creating scenic landscapes, developing ecotourism combined with visiting Chua Chan National Scenic Landscape; besides, serving well for forest fire prevention and fighting in the Chua Chan mountain forest area and ensuring national defense and security in the area.
Land use demand is about 79.23 ha. Of which, protection forest land is about 14.10 ha, national defense land is about 0.54 ha, existing traffic land is about 3.43 ha, urban residential land is about 0.84 ha, agricultural land, perennial crops are about 60.32 ha.
The maximum project implementation time is 6 years from the time capital is allocated to implement the project. Project implementation progress, 2026 to prepare for investment, 2027-2031 to implement the project.
The project is divided into component projects including: Component Project 1 (Compensation, support, resettlement) invested by the City Land Fund Development Center; Component Project 2 (Construction of road around Chua Chan mountain) invested by Xuan Loc Ward People's Committee.
Chua Chan Mountain (also known as Gia Lao Mountain) is 837m above sea level, known as the "Roof of Dong Nai" and the second highest mountain in the Southeast region. Rare cloud discs often appear here. In 2012, Chua Chan Mountain was ranked as a national scenic relic. It is also implementing an eco-tourism, resort, and entertainment project.
