On August 23, information from the Da Nang City Department of Construction, as of the end of 2024, the whole city has completed more than 17,300 social housing apartments; of which the local budget has spent more than 3,000 billion VND investing in over 10,000 apartments, belonging to the leading group in the country in terms of budget capital for social housing development.
After merging administrative boundaries with Quang Nam province (old) from July 2025, Da Nang City People's Committee has comprehensively reviewed and approved a list of 113 land plots with a total area of 390ha, expected scale of 101,000 apartments.
Regarding the implementation progress, in 2025, the city completed 5 projects with 2,907 units, exceeding the target assigned by the Prime Minister. In the period 2026 - 2030, Da Nang is implementing 44 projects with about 39,541 units. From the beginning of 2026 to now, the city has approved the investment policy and assigned investors 8 new projects (5,872 units); in the last 6 months of 2026, it is expected to start construction of 8 more projects (4,879 units) and complete about 3,650 to 3,861 units.
In addition to projects for sale, implementing the direction of the Central Government and the Ministry of Construction, Da Nang is surveying demand to develop a Project on developing rental housing to 2030. The goal is to increase the proportion of rental housing and worker accommodation, diversifying models suitable to the affordability of workers in the area.
