On the afternoon of May 25, the Steering Committee for Housing Policy and Real Estate Market of Da Nang City opened the first meeting to review the implementation situation, identify problems and propose key solutions in the coming time.

Speaking at the meeting, Da Nang City Party Secretary Le Ngoc Quang emphasized that the city is entering a new stage of development, with the requirement to expand urban space, complete infrastructure, improve living quality and competitiveness. In that context, housing policy and real estate market management are not only economic issues, but also important political tasks, associated with social security and stabilizing people's lives.
According to Mr. Quang, after expanding the development space according to the 2-level local government model, Da Nang must restructure the urban space, redistribute population, and synchronously develop social and technical infrastructure. Therefore, housing policies must go one step ahead, and the real estate market must develop healthily and transparently, meeting the real needs of the people.

Da Nang City Party Secretary requested to absolutely not allow lax management, speculation, and market manipulation to occur; not to allow policy abuse for personal gain, forming group interests, "backyards" in the process of investing, building, managing and using housing.
Da Nang determines that the current issue is not the lack of mechanisms, but the stage of organizing implementation must be more drastic. The city will focus on removing obstacles in investment procedures, planning, land, site clearance; unblocking slow-progressing projects and accelerating the progress of social housing development, especially for low-income people, workers and vulnerable groups.
According to the Project "Investing in building at least 1 million social housing apartments", the Prime Minister assigned Da Nang to complete 42,700 social housing units in the period 2025 - 2030. This is considered a major task, requiring the synchronous involvement of the entire political system, localities and businesses.

Accumulated to the end of 2020, Da Nang has completed 46 projects with 13,883 apartments and 1,146 student dormitory rooms. In the period 2021 - 2024, the city completed 4 projects with 3,445 units; in 2025 alone, it completed 5 projects with 2,907 units, reaching 108% of the assigned target.
In the period 2026 - 2030, Da Nang has approved the investment policy for 23 social housing projects with about 20,554 units; of which 6 projects, about 5,564 units, have been started and are being implemented. The city also identified 36 projects with about 31,029 units, equal to 118% of the target for the period 2026 - 2030 according to the Project of 1 million apartments.
In 2026, Da Nang is expected to complete 3,861 social housing units, and continue to start 7 projects with about 4,144 units in the second and third quarters. This is an important supply to meet real housing needs, contributing to market stability and ensuring urban security.
