Tien Bo Apartment Complex (TBCO) includes many buildings from 18 to 25 floors high, which is home to thousands of people in Thai Nguyen. For many years, every rainy season, residents here have faced many worries.
The prolonged rain in recent days has caused water levels to rise in many areas in Thai Nguyen. In particular, the water from Gia Bay area caused Mo Bach stream to be located near the TBCO building, causing the water to flow rapidly and rise.

According to the reporter on July 1, the Mo Bach stream area near the TBCO building has many landslides. The distance from the stream to the building is about 20 - 30m. At this time, employees of the apartment management board and the military force are building an embankment to prevent landslides in Mo Bach stream.
Hundreds of sandbags and rocks were filled into the food locations on the edge of the building. At the same time, the embankment is temporarily reinforced with bamboo and rattan stakes. The area with embankment reinforced to prevent landslides is about 20 to 40 meters long, located on the edge of the bank between the stream and the apartment land.
A resident at Tien Bo apartment building said that the building staff and some officers and soldiers started building the embankment on June 30. In recent days, due to heavy rain, the water in Mo Bach stream has risen, and some areas on the edge of the landslide.
"This is a temporary plan for a few days of rain and wind. Only when the rain is gone can construction be carried out. Every time it rains heavily, the water flows back in this stream. Of course, there are many concerns for the people. Especially in recent years, there has been a lot of rain, often flooding. I also hope to have a definitive solution to ensure safety," said this person.
Previously, in the historic flood in September 2024, nearly 50 households with about 200 people in building A3 of Tien Bo apartment building were forced to evacuate urgently at night.
At that time, the rising water level of the Cau River caused flooding throughout the area around the apartment building. An item in building A3 had an incident, posing a high risk of insecurity.
The apartment management has cut off the power to the entire building, and at the same time, together with the authorities, evacuated people to a safe place.
