Dien Bien - Due to no longer having a need to use it, the Power Company returned nearly 1,000m2 of land to the local government for management.

The People's Committee of Dien Bien province has just signed a decision to reclaim a total of 900m2 of land assigned to Dien Bien Power Company - Branch of the Northern Power Corporation in Bung Lao commune (Muong Ang district) and Na U commune (Dien Bien district).

In Bung Lao commune, the province recovered 500m2 of land that was allocated to the electricity industry since 2009, on the grounds that the unit no longer needs to use. This land is determined to be the place where electricity and telecommunications broadcasting stations are located, the boundary position has been deducted and adjusted the cadastral at the end of 2024.

Similarly, in Na U commune, the province also reclaimed 400m2 of land according to the 2009 lease decision, with the reason being that Dien Bien Power Company voluntarily returned it because it was no longer in use. The boundary of the land was also measured and confirmed to be completed in December 2024.

According to the decision of the Provincial People's Committee, the Department of Agriculture and Environment is assigned to preside over and coordinate with the People's Committees of the two districts, power units and relevant agencies to organize land handover on site, determine specific boundaries and update cadastral databases.

At the same time, regional tax authorities are also required to review and collect financial obligations (if any) from enterprises.

Muong Ang District People's Committee and Dien Bien District People's Committee are responsible for receiving and managing land funds in accordance with legal regulations. Dien Bien Power Company is responsible for coordinating throughout the handover process, as well as fully fulfilling financial obligations.
