On July 10, Long Thanh Ward People's Committee, Dong Nai City just publicly posted the expected compensation, support, and resettlement plan under the project to expand the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh expressway section (phase 6) implemented by the Dong Nai City Land Fund Development Center - Long Thanh ward branch.
Accordingly, in phase 6, 14 cases were publicly announced for compensation and support plans with a total recovered area of more than 2,023 m2, with a total value of more than 1.6 billion VND.
The Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh expressway expansion project is nearly 22 km long, of which the section passing through Dong Nai City is 13 km long. To serve the project construction, Dong Nai City must recover more than 4 hectares of land, with 417 land plots in Nhon Trach ward, Long Thanh ward and An Phuoc commune.
Previously, on August 19, 2025, Vietnam Expressway Corporation (VEC) held a groundbreaking ceremony for the project to expand the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh expressway section.
The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2026, especially Long Thanh bridge, the main bridge is expected to be joined in December 2026 and the remaining items will be completed in the first quarter of 2027.
