Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper reporters, Dr. Tran Xuan Luong - Deputy Director of the Vietnam Real Estate Market Research Institute - said that large-scale land acquisition poses many challenges for compensation, support and resettlement for affected people. This reality requires local authorities and functional agencies to synchronously and effectively implement and apply compensation - support - resettlement policies, in order to ensure the legitimate rights of people and limit the occurrence of lawsuits and disputes.
According to Dr. Tran Xuan Luong, the process of implementing land acquisition projects needs to be carried out transparently and publicly, from planning, acquisition to determining and unifying compensation prices, in order to ensure fairness and harmony of interests between the State, businesses and people. At the same time, businesses investing in projects also need to closely coordinate with local authorities, contributing to building a transparent, sustainable and people-friendly investment environment, especially in the context of the real estate and infrastructure market having many fluctuations today.
