The Gia Lam Park construction project was approved by the People's Committee of Gia Lam district (Hanoi) in Decision No. 3824/QD-UBND dated September 21, 2023.
In June 2024, the project was officially started. According to the reporter's records, currently, the contractor is mobilizing many machines and human resources, dividing them into many construction teams to dredge the lake bed, embankment and build auxiliary landscape items...
Ms. Le Thi Bich Ngoc (Trau Quy town, Gia Lam district) shared that the park and lake project, when completed, will help improve the living environment, bringing cleaner air to the people.
"I really look forward to the Gia Lam park project being completed and put into use soon so that people can benefit" - Ms. Ngoc said.
The Gia Lam Park project is invested in construction on a land with a total area of about 14 hectares, with items including: site clearance, dredging of lakes, embankments, walking paths along lakes, drainage system, lighting, stage, inside walking paths, trees, lawns, rest houses, public toilets... The total investment is more than 286 billion VND, from the Gia Lam district budget.
The park is included in the plan to renovate, renovate and build a new park in Hanoi city in the period of 2021-2025.
Planning research area has an area of about 18.4ha, the Northeast borders Nguyen Mau Tai street; The southeast borders the road with a 22m wide cross section under construction; The southwest borders the planning route with a 30m wide section; The Northwest borders the current situation and the new headquarters of the District Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee of Gia Lam District.
In addition, the land for planning research is allocated the following functions: regional traffic land is about 4.4ha; regulating lake land is about 9ha; green land for sports is about 5ha. The expected functional subdivisions include: cultural and educational areas, performance areas, sports areas, children's areas, etc.
According to the People's Committee of Gia Lam district, the goal of the planning is to create a green park area combined with a modern, synchronous regulating lake in terms of architecture and technical infrastructure, meeting the needs of urban development.
The construction of the park combined with renovation, dredging and the construction of the Trau Quy 2 regulating lake system according to the plan will contribute to improving the environmental landscape and improving living conditions for residents in the area.
According to the Gia Lam District Land Fund Development Center, the project has a total area of land proposed for recovery of 138,345.5m2, mainly agricultural land, related to 385 households and part of public land managed by the People's Committee of Co Bi commune and Trau Quy town. Of which, the area to be reclaimed in Co Bi commune is 59,400.8m2, and in Trau Quy town is 78,944.7m2.
Up to now, the site clearance work has been basically completed. The locality has handed over the site to the contractor to implement the project.
