On September 4, information from the Bac Lieu Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board (project investor) said that this agency is urgently coordinating with the wards of Bac Lieu, Vinh Trach and Hiep Thanh (Ca Mau province) to urgently carry out inventory work and prepare procedures for land acquisition for the project.
By the end of August 2025, the consulting contractor is editing and completing the design and estimate documents, and is expected to complete the documents in early September 2025 for approval by competent authorities.
Up to now, the draft site clearance plan has been finalized and land acquisition procedures are being prepared. Specifically, the section through Bac Lieu ward, the People's Committee of the ward has announced the results of land appraisal and approved the draft plan and has posted the plan.
The section through Hiep Thanh ward, the People's Committee of the ward has approved the land price, it is expected that in September 2025, the Project Management Board will approve the draft plan and post the plan. In Vinh Trach ward, land prices have been approved, are being approved and appraised.
According to localities where the project passes through, land recovery is facing difficulties due to lack of land funds for resettlement (need for 37 plots).
According to the project's capital allocated in 2025, the project is over 657 billion VND. Of which, the central budget is more than 254.8 billion VND, disbursed by the end of August 2025 is 3.3/254 billion VND (reaching 1. 30%); The local budget is 403 billion VND, disbursed by the end of August 2025 is 15.8 billion VND (reaching 3.92%).
The Bac Lieu Sub-city Ring Road Project (phase 1) is 15km long and has 4 bridges, implemented in the 2024 - 2027 period, by the Bac Lieu Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board (investor), a group B project, with a total investment of more than 1,450 billion VND.
The project is a second urban main street, the first section from the end of Hoang Phat Residential Area to the intersection with Cao Van Lau Street, a total length of 9.5km, a 6-lane road scale, a cross-section of 24m wide, including: 4 lanes for motor vehicles, 2 lanes for rudimentary vehicles, a median strip, sidewalks and slopes. Design speed 60km/h. Invest in two reinforced concrete bridges, including: the bridge over Bac Lieu River (Km 21+270) and the bridge over Ong Bon Canal (Km 7+677). Of which, the bridge over Bac Lieu River has a total length of 382.4m; the bridge over Ong Bon Canal has a total length of 25.7m.
Along with that, 5 intersections will be built, including: The first intersection of the route intersects with the invested Outer Ring Road; the intersection with Nam Song Hau road; the expected intersection of Bac Lieu coastal road; the intersection with Lo Ren road; the end of the route intersects with Cao Van Lau road.
