Hanoi invests more than 34,000 billion VND to build 3 rental housing projects

Hanoi approved 3 rental housing projects with a total investment of more than 34,000 billion VND, providing nearly 4,400 apartments, and at the same time proposed 19 social housing projects.

Hanoi City People's Committee has just approved the updated list of housing and urban area construction investment projects for the period 2026 - 2030 (phase 1). Accordingly, the city plans to implement 3 rental housing projects with a total investment of more than 34,000 billion VND, providing nearly 4,400 apartments to the market.

According to the recently issued decision, the largest scale project is the Long Bien Ward Housing Area, proposed for investment by Him Lam Joint Stock Company, based on the purpose conversion from the Information Technology Park Project.

The project has a total investment of more than 29,000 billion VND, with a scale of about 36 hectares. The expected implementation time is from the third quarter of 2026 to the third quarter of 2031, providing about 2,025 apartments for rent.

The second project is implemented on a part of the land fund belonging to the Old Quarter Resettlement Area in Viet Hung ward, with an area of more than 2.4 hectares. The project has been approved for investment policy since June 2026 and will be built on 7 land plots including CT-04C, CT-04E, CT-05B, CT-05D, CT-06A, CT-07A1 and CT-07A2. After completion in 2030, the project is expected to provide 1,166 apartments for rent.

In the southern area of the Capital, the rental housing project in Phap Van - Tu Hiep New Urban Area (Yen So ward) has an area of about 1.9 ha, with a total investment of nearly 1,400 billion VND. The project is expected to be completed in 2027, adding about 1,176 apartments to the market.

At the same time, the Hanoi Department of Construction also publicly announced the list of 19 social housing projects proposed for investment after reviewing dossiers at the Public Administration Service Center. The projects are distributed in many areas with rapid infrastructure development such as Dan Phuong, Xuan Phuong, Linh Nam, Hoang Liet, Viet Hung and Soc Son.

Notably, Tan Hoi social housing area (Dan Phuong commune) with a scale of about 53.18 ha is the largest project on the list. In the same Dan Phuong area, there are also two other projects including Dai Phu - Dan Phuong Social Housing (about 1.6 ha) and An Son Social Housing Area (nearly 4.5 ha).

In Xuan Phuong area, many social housing projects are also proposed. Among them are Hai Thinh Social Housing at land plot C5 under Urban Subdivision Planning S3 with an area of nearly 9 ha; project at land plot GS3-6 over 3.35 ha; Xuan Phuong Social Housing Area about 8.46 ha, along with smaller scale projects such as Xuan An and Xuan Ngoc.

In the Southern region, projects are concentrated in Linh Nam and Hoang Liet wards. In which, IFT Linh Nam social housing is proposed on two land plots H1-ODK2 and H1-ODK3 with a total area of more than 1.84 ha; Hung Phuc project at No. 419 Linh Nam street has a scale of more than 4,300 m2.
