The N01 resettlement housing project at land plot D17, Cau Giay new urban area is completing the final items, expected to be handed over to people in June 2026.

The project is built to serve the relocation and site clearance for 7 projects in Cau Giay district in the past, including key traffic routes such as Ring Road 2.5 and Cau Giay - Dich Vong urban area. The project is 15 floors high with 299 apartments, total floor area of more than 42,500m2, total investment of more than 452 billion VND.

The project started in 2011. However, during the implementation process, the project repeatedly fell into a state of stagnation due to problems with capital sources, the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic and the adjustment of technical standards, especially regulations on fire prevention and fighting.

According to records, from mid-2025, when the two-level local government model was implemented, functional agencies and Cau Giay Ward People's Committee have strengthened inspections and urged progress, directly removing many difficulties for contractors. This is considered an important factor to help the project "accelerate" again after a long period of delay.

Up to now, the basic construction items have been completed. Technical infrastructure systems, gardens, and common living areas have been synchronously completed. Outdoor sports equipment and children's play areas have also been installed, contributing to improving living conditions for residents.

Notably, the acceptance work, especially for the fire prevention and fighting system, is being strictly controlled. On May 19, the Fire and Rescue Police force (Hanoi City Police) conducted the first acceptance inspection. It is expected that in early June 2026, the inter-sectoral delegation will continue the second inspection before allowing the project to be put into use.

Talking to a reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, the leader of Cau Giay ward said that on May 22, the Hanoi Department of Construction conducted a quality inspection and acceptance of the completed project. The simultaneous involvement of functional agencies shows the determination to complete the project according to commitments.

According to Mr. Ngo Ngoc Phuong - Chairman of Cau Giay Ward People's Committee, in June 2026, the Ward People's Committee will coordinate with the housing management unit under the Hanoi Department of Construction to organize the signing of contracts and handover of apartments to households. At the same time, residents will be guided on operating and using technical systems to ensure safety and long-term stability.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Van (resident of Dich Vong street, Cau Giay ward) said that her family has visited the N01 resettlement area at land plot D17, where her house will move to live in about 2 months. According to Ms. Van, the house has a convenient location, near the old residence, so it does not cause much disruption in daily life.

Previously, my family lived in a land house with an area of 75m2, built with 5 floors. Now moving to a 91m2 apartment with 2 bedrooms, living room and kitchen, living in a family is quite suitable," Ms. Van shared.
Putting the D17 project into use not only solves the urgent resettlement needs but also contributes to urban embellishment, avoiding wasting public assets after many years of abandonment," said Mr. Ngo Ngoc Phuong.
