Implementing the Project "Building at least 1 million social housing units for low-income people and industrial park workers in the period of 2021 - 2030", Hung Yen province was assigned by the Government to build 48,500 social housing units by 2030, of which 2,250 units will be in 2025 alone.
Currently, there are 73 social housing projects in the province with a total area of over 152 hectares. In the period of 2021 - 2024, Hung Yen has completed 3 projects, providing about 1,500 social housing units, contributing to meeting the housing needs of low-income people and industrial park workers. Along with that, 8 other projects are being implemented with a scale of more than 14,500 units, mainly concentrated in areas with industrial parks and large industrial clusters such as Van Giang, Yen My, My Hao, Khoi Chau...

In recent times, the province has directed the construction industry and localities to promote administrative procedure reform, shorten the time for appraisal and approval of projects; at the same time, calling for and creating conditions for reputable enterprises to participate in investing in developing social housing in accordance with the plan, in accordance with the needs and payment capabilities of the people.
At the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh suggested that localities promote their proactive role, mobilize maximum social resources, closely coordinate with central ministries and branches in the process of implementing social housing development policies; strive to complete the 2025 target on schedule, creating motivation for the next stage.
Hung Yen's acceleration of investment in the construction and completion of social housing projects not only contributes to ensuring security and stabilizing the lives of workers, but is also a concrete step in implementing the national goal of building at least 1 million social housing units by 2030, towards developing a healthy and sustainable real estate market, serving people better and better.
