On March 9, news from Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee said that it has divided compensation, support and resettlement (TĐC) work to serve the North-South high-speed railway project into 3 component projects corresponding to each section of the route passing through the area, in order to proactively deploy site clearance and ensure the overall progress of the project.
The high-speed railway section passing through the province has a total length of about 191.8km.
On this basis, the province has assigned the investor to carry out compensation, support and resettlement for 3 component projects.
Component project 1 (from Dai Lanh commune to Nam Ninh Hoa commune) is about 66.16km long, invested by the Provincial Development Project Management Board.
Component project 2 (from Bac Nha Trang ward to Nam Cam Ranh commune) is about 64.13km long, invested by the Provincial Agricultural and Transport Construction Investment Project Management Board.
Component project 3 (from Cong Hai commune to Phuoc Ha commune) is about 61.47km long, invested by the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board.
Up to now, the investors have completed the preparation and appraisal of project dossiers. The Provincial People's Committee has approved Component Project 1 and Component Project 3 according to its authority, ensuring compliance with the provisions of law on construction investment and closely following the general progress of the plan.
Component Project 2 is currently being urgently completed with procedures according to regulations to submit to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and approval as soon as possible.
After this project is approved, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee will continue to direct the synchronous implementation of the next steps to gradually complete the resettlement land fund, meet the requirements of arranging accommodation for affected households and ensure the progress of site clearance work.
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Vinh - Deputy Director of Khanh Hoa Department of Construction, investors have completed field surveys according to the defined boundaries for resettlement areas.
Based on the collected data, the consulting unit is urgently editing and completing the map measurement dossier, and at the same time carrying out relevant procedures to submit to the Department of Agriculture and Environment for consideration and confirmation according to regulations.
After receiving the official site clearance markers, related dossiers will continue to be reviewed, updated and adjusted, serving as a basis for approving compensation plans and payments to people.
According to the plan, the high-speed railway project on the North - South axis section passing through Khanh Hoa province has a total length of about 191.8km.
To serve site clearance work, Khanh Hoa province plans to arrange 31 resettlement areas, including 13 existing areas and 18 newly built or expanded areas.
