In August 2025, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Khanh Hoa province is coordinating with relevant units to review and handle the situation of land areas that have been decided to be reclaimed by the Provincial People's Committee but have not yet been handed over to the Land Fund Development Center for management.
According to the Department's report, as of June 2025, the whole province has 19 land plots that have been decided to be reclaimed and assigned to the Land Fund Development Center for management by the locality, but the handover has not been completed on site.
The Department of Agriculture and Environment is urgently collecting documents and working with relevant units to advise the Provincial People's Committee on handling measures.
Since the end of 2024, Mr. Le Dai Duong - Vice Chairman of Nha Trang City People's Committee (before the merger) has reported on the state of delay in land recovery at a series of locations, such as the 98m2 land plot of Phuoc Tan Cooperative (plot 277, map sheet No. 3, Phuoc Tan ward); the land plot of more than 5,800m2 of Khanh Hoa aluminum Joint Stock Company, although violating the Land Law, the user has not yet handed it over to the locality.
In area D - Royal Yard Center Project, although the Decision to reclaim more than 19,142m2 of land was issued in 2017, Yard Hotel Joint Stock Company has not yet handed over the land to the Provincial Land Fund Development Center.
There are a series of similar land plots such as: 2,400m2 of Vinh Ngoc Primary School land; nearly 30 hectares of Hon Thi quarry land leased by Hon Thi Stone Exploitation Company Limited; coastal water surface land of Hon Rong Eco-tourism Company.
Land of Sakura Food Company, Nha Trang Bay Textile and Garment Import-Export Company, Khanh Hoa Seafood Forestry Processing Joint Stock Company, Khanh Hoa Tourism Company, Khanh Viet Corporation... has decided to be reclaimed but is still stuck in site handover.
The delay in handing over land after recovery is causing difficulties in managing public land funds and implementing public investment projects in the area.
Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee requested relevant departments and branches to focus on reviewing, resolving, and handling thoroughly in the coming time.
