Main road running through Giang Bien industrial park
The project to build a road connecting Giang Bien Industrial Park to National Highway 10 was approved by Vinh Bao District People's Committee in March 2023. The project started construction at the end of 2023 and was selected by Vinh Bao District as the project to be inaugurated on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Hai Phong Liberation Day.
The project has a total investment of 152.98 billion VND, the items to be built include: construction of the main road connecting Giang Bien Industrial Park, Giang Bien Commune to National Highway 10 with a length of more than 703m, roadbed width of 14m, road surface of 9m. Along with that, reinforcing the roadbed slope on the bank of the canal with reinforced concrete piles combined with reinforced concrete panels adjacent to National Highway 10, building a new road surface drainage system, lighting system, traffic signs.
The total project area is 1.19 hectares, involving 40 households. According to information from the People's Committee of Giang Bien Commune, by September 2024, the locality will complete site clearance and hand over to the construction unit.
According to the Vinh Bao District Construction Investment Project Management Board, by December 5, the project had completed 70% of the construction volume. Completed items include roadbed expansion, concrete pile driving for stone embankment along the entire canal bank, and box culverts. Currently, the contractor has completed the road surface, sidewalks, and auxiliary works, striving to complete and put into operation in the first quarter of 2025.
Development of industrial clusters
According to the representative of the investor of Giang Bien Industrial Park, the unit is preparing the required procedures as well as capital, equipment, and human resources to be ready to construct the industrial park infrastructure immediately after the access road is completed.
It is expected that Giang Bien Industrial Cluster will prioritize attracting domestic and foreign enterprises in the following industries: mechanical industry; Production of HDPE, PPR pipes and fittings and technical plastic products; electronics, refrigeration, telecommunications, information technology and high technology; light industry (food, garment, footwear, stationery, agricultural and seafood processing)...
According to the report of Hai Phong City People's Committee, by the end of 2024, the city will have a total of 17 industrial clusters established with a total area of nearly 690 hectares. The city is implementing procedures to build technical infrastructure for 11 industrial clusters in the area, of which 3 industrial clusters have completed site clearance and are carrying out land allocation procedures to build technical infrastructure for industrial clusters, including Giang Bien industrial cluster.
In 2025, the city will continue to support businesses in carrying out investment and planning procedures to soon establish new industrial parks (IPs) such as Nam Trang Cat IP, Thuy Nguyen IP, Trang Due 3, Nomura Phase 2, Vinh Quang IP... At the same time, establish industrial clusters Tien Cuong III, Nam Am, Doan Xa, Kien Bai - Cao Nhan. Along with that, speed up the progress of key traffic projects, connecting investors to industrial parks and clusters in the area.
