Key traffic project worth nearly 1,390 billion VND
The investment project to build a road from Provincial Road 354, Tien Lang district to National Highway 10, Vinh Bao district was decided by the City People's Council in Resolution No. 62/NQ-HDND dated October 19, 2022.
The project's goal is to create a new route connecting from National Highway 10 to the city center and in the future connecting National Highway 37; connecting from National Highway 10 and Provincial Road 354 to industrial parks in Tien Lang district, especially Tien Thanh industrial park.
The project also contributes to gradually completing the traffic infrastructure system of Vinh Bao district, Tien Lang district and the traffic network connecting urban and rural areas in the Southeast of Hai Phong connecting with the coastal area of Thai Binh province...
The project investment scale includes the construction of a road from Provincial Road 354 in Tien Lang District to National Highway 10 in Vinh Bao District, approximately 8.1 km long and 22.5 m wide; the construction of a new Tien Thanh bridge over the Thai Binh River using concrete and prestressed reinforced concrete with a length of 437.8 m; the construction of a reinforced concrete bridge over a 40 m long irrigation canal; the construction of infrastructure for a resettlement area in Vinh An Commune, Vinh Bao District, with an area of approximately 0.77 ha, along with many other items. The total investment of the project is nearly 1,383 billion VND from the city budget, implemented from 2022 to 2026.
Speed up project site clearance progress
According to the report of the Hai Phong City Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board (investor), the total area recovered for the project is 29.88 hectares, related to about 804 households and organizations. In Tien Lang district, the project passes through 2 communes of Tien Thanh, Quyet Tien and Tien Lang town, the recovered area is about 19.81 hectares, 534 households and organizations. Up to now, 505/516 households of agricultural land, cemetery land, and irrigation land have handed over the land, the remaining land is mainly related to 14 households of residential land and 4 organizations. In Vinh Bao district, the project passes through Vinh An commune, recovering about 10.06 hectares, 271 households and organizations. Up to now, the locality has basically completed the land clearance.
Regarding the construction of the road connecting from Provincial Road 354 to Tien Thanh Bridge, the estimated volume of implementation is 12.6/381 billion VND (3.3% of the contract value). The construction of Tien Thanh Bridge and the road connecting to National Highway 10 has so far completed the pressing of reinforced concrete piles, casting of superT beams, digging of road forms... the volume reaches 42.4% of the contract value.
Recently, during a field inspection at the investment project to build a road from Provincial Road 354 in Tien Lang District to National Highway 10 in Vinh Bao District, Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee Nguyen Duc Tho requested Tien Lang District to focus on leading and directing the acceleration of land acquisition procedures and early completion of site clearance. At the same time, proactively coordinate with relevant departments, branches and agencies to remove remaining obstacles.
The Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee also requested contractors to focus on human resources, equipment, organize construction teams, speed up the progress of projects, and ensure compliance with the set plan. In particular, strive to complete Tien Thanh Bridge and the National Highway 10 connecting road in May 2025 to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Hai Phong Liberation.
