The Resettlement Area Project South of Mieu Bong Market was adjusted by the People's Committee of Da Nang City in 2023 to solve the flooding situation in the area of Groups 5, 6, 7, Con Mong Village, Hoa Phuoc Commune, Hoa Vang District, Da Nang City.
However, due to the slow implementation of the project, households have not been compensated to be relocated elsewhere.
Mr. Nguyen Lan, a resident of Con Mong village, reflected: "In 2023, the City People's Committee also issued an official dispatch allowing the expansion of the scope and investment in the resettlement area project south of the new Mieu Bong market according to the adjusted planning plan. However, up to now, the completion of the procedural documents has not been completed, which affects the lives of people in this area."
According to the Department of Construction of Da Nang City, on May 24, the Institute of Construction Planning sent an official dispatch to the Management Board of Investment Projects for Construction of Civil and Industrial Works (Management Board) to report on the adjustment of the detailed planning TL1/500 of the Resettlement Area project south of Mieu Bong Market (Phase 3).
Then on June 18, the Management Board sent an official dispatch to the Hoa Vang District Land Clearance Board to estimate the cost of land clearance and resettlement arrangements for the project. After working, the Land Clearance Board requested to provide information on the project's land plot as a basis for the estimate.
By July, the Management Board and the Land Clearance Board of Hoa Vang district had handed over the boundary markers and project implementation budget, serving as the basis for accurate estimates.
Currently, the Management Board is still closely coordinating with relevant units to complete the dossier, submit it to the People's Committee of Hoa Vang district for consideration and report to the City People's Committee for approval of the investment policy, creating the premise for implementing the next steps of the project.
